

Medical Response Roles for Actors
LEARN TO PLAY MEDICAL RESPONSE PERSONNEL FOR FILM & TELEVISION
Taught by REAL Paramedics from Emergency Australia
All conducted at Australia's third largest film studio Screen QLD Studios
PERFORM SKILLS SUCH AS:
- Basic medical checks on patient
- Correct medical language and terminology
- Respond to a patient who appears in pain and call for assistance
- Routine bedside check for a nurse on a patient, interacting with basic equipment such as an I.V. etc
- Arrive at an emergency scene and under take initial deployment of emergency equipment
- Perform CPR both manually and using replica emergency equipment
- Prepare a needle for injection
- Prepare/administer an I.V. at an accident scene or in a hospital situation
- Dispose of a needle post injection and other medical refuse post treatment
- As a pair or team, put a patient onto a stretcher for transport from the floor
- How to offer a status update to retrieving personnel as you exit an ambulance on the move
- Offer a status briefing to retrieving personnel in a conference
- Respond on the radio to a call received in an ambulance
- Exit an ambulance arriving at a scene
- Put a gurney into an ambulance and re-enter the vehicle and exit the scene
